About Us

PPSH Board

Parents for Public Schools of Houston is a non-profit, non-partisan, non-sectarian 501(c)(3) organization run solely by volunteers. We have a proud 20+ year history promoting parent leadership and school accountability in Texas Region 4. Since its founding in 1992, Parents for Public Schools of Houston has tirelessly worked in collaboration with other non-profit groups and organizations to effectively advance causes and positions, which are in the best interest of all children, regardless of race, gender, religion or socio-economic status. We are a Chapter of National Parents for Public Schools.

The Board of Directors of PPS of Houston is made up of individuals who offer experience, ideas, opinions and beliefs about the value of high-quality public education in the Houston Independent School District. We’re members of school communities throughout Houston and we work to find solutions that strengthen all our public schools, for each of our children.
